Announcement on the Introduction of Two-Factor MFA Login Verification for Portal WEB
October 22, 2026
Dear Cobo Users,
To further enhance account security, Cobo plans to introduce a 2-of-N multi-factor authentication (MFA) mechanism for Portal Web on October 27, 2026.
Once this feature goes live, your account must have at least two of the following three MFA categories configured. Each time you log in to Portal Web, you will need to verify your identity using two of these categories:
- App verification: Verify through the Cobo Portal App or Cobo Guard App. Both apps belong to the same MFA category.
- Passkey: Verify using a passkey.
- Authenticator: Verify using an authenticator app.
If you already have at least two of these MFA categories configured, no additional setup is required. Simply follow the instructions on the login page to complete verification after the feature goes live. Otherwise, please bind additional MFA methods so that your account has at least two MFA categories configured.
To manage your MFA settings, log in and go to:
Profile icon in the upper-right corner → My Account → Security → Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
We recommend logging in to Portal before the launch to review and complete the necessary settings. Please also ensure that your configured authentication methods are working properly to avoid disruption to future logins.
Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions.
